Due to the ongoing corona virus outbreak, the GPs have taken the decision to close to doors to avoid people walking in. The surgery is not and has never been closed, we are trying to limit the number of people coming into the building.
If you need to see a doctor you will need to call the surgery first and a GP will call you back to discuss the issue. If you have an appointment with the nurse for wound dressing, immunisation, INR etc, you may be called by a nurse on the day of your appointment to check you are well. If you do need to enter the building for an appointment, in line with Welsh Government advice, we request that you wear a 3 layer face covering and wear it so that it covers your face an nose.
If you or a member of your household have either :
- New persistant Cough
- High temperature
- Loss of taste or smell
DO NOT come to the surgery. Self isolate for 14 days. If your symptoms get worse, use the NHS symptoms checker https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 before you call 111.
If you live alone, you only need to self isolate for 7 days.
The GPs have taken the decision to only allow access to patients who have been triaged over the telephone. If you need an appointment, please call the surgery on 029 20 566 291 to arrange a telephone call back.

If you believe that you should have received a letter about shielding, please refer to our news feed.
If you need a sick / fit note to cover when you are isolating due to symptoms or family member having symptoms, use this link to get an online certificate from 111.https://www.nhsdirect.wales.nhs.uk/
If you currently have a routine appointment booked with a GP, nurse or pharmacist and think the matter can be dealt with over the telephone, please [email protected] and include your best contact number and times when you are likely to be available. We will then arrange a time for a GP to call you. This will help to reduce the risk to yourself and others.
Until further notice, if you feel your problem can be dealt with over the telephone, please advise the receptionist when you telephone the surgery. Online appointment booking has been suspended.
Please see our self help page for information on managing a variety of issues. A mental health coping with covid-19 leaflet can be found on our documents page.
Once the corona-virus risk has passed, we will aim to return to normal services as soon as possible.
Prescription: In order to help us reduce the number of people who need to come into the surgery during the Covid-19 outbreak, please nominate a pharmacy you would like to collect your prescription from and inform the surgery and the pharmacy. The pharmacy can then make arrangements to collect the prescription from the surgery. Alternatively, please attach as stamped self-addressed envelop to your prescription request.
Prescription requests can be posted into the letter box on the front gates.
