COVID-19 – Please Read

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 it is advisable to stay at home and avoid contact with others until you are feeling better. You should tell other people you have recently been in contact with that you are unwell.

Rest, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and you can take medication such as paracetamol to help alleviate the symptoms. Antibiotics are not recommended. If you feel well enough to work, you should work from home were possible or talk to your employer.

Symptoms normally last for about 5 days. If you have any concerns about your symptoms, they are getting worse or you can no longer manage at home and need medical advice, please call NHS 111 or phone the surgery. In an emergency, dial 999.

If you still feel unwell after 5 days, especially if you have a high temperature, continue to stay at home and especially avoid contact with anyone who might be at high risk of becoming seriously unwell if they caught COVID.

Free NHS LFTs are no longer available for the general public who do not have any symptoms.  For those with symptoms or who have been advised by a medical professional to get a test, they can order them by calling 119 or going online www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests. You can also purchase LFTs from various retailers.
