Practice Background and Mission Statement Fairwater Health Centre has been providing medical care to local patients since 1971 when the surgery was first opened by Dr Michael Richards. The current surgery was built on the site of the old building in 1991. Since then we have grown to provide care for 9300 patients. We are a training practice and have doctors training to be GP's as well as medical students attached to the Practice. Patients will be informed if a medical student is to be present during a consultation. We aim to provide the highest possible care according to the best medical standards. We believe that patients are in charge of their healthcare - we will help patient to make the right treatment decisions for them by sharing the treatment options in a way which they understand We aim to treat our patients with dignity and respect on every occasion. We will provide the same standard of care irrespective of age, gender, disability or race.
